432 Hz is the tuning standard used by Crystal Tones for its Alchemy bowls. Mathematically, 432 Hz aligns with natural harmonic ratios found throughout nature and is consistent with Pythagorean tuning. Many practitioners and researchers report that 432 Hz feels warmer, more expansive, and easier to absorb during extended listening. At 432 Hz, the note A vibrates at exactly 432 cycles per second — producing a cascade of related frequencies that align with Schumann Earth resonances and the geometry of water crystallization. The modern 440 Hz standard was adopted in 1953 for practical reasons of standardization, not acoustic superiority.

A binaural beat is a perceived third frequency that emerges when two tones of slightly different frequencies are heard together. The brain perceives the mathematical difference between the two tones — for example, if one bowl resonates at D#-15 and another at D#+30, the 45-cent interval between them creates an oscillating interference pattern. In a room, this beating effect is audible without headphones — the phenomenon occurs acoustically in the air itself. The note (C, D, E, F, G, A, B) indicates the fundamental pitch and corresponds to a chakra center. The cent value indicates how many cents above (+) or below (-) equal temperament the bowl resonates. For example, F#+15 means the bowl plays an F# that is 15 cents sharp. When building a set, keep cent values within 15 cents of each other for harmonic compatibility.
